Lindsay Lohan totals Porsche in car accident

Lindsay Lohan was hospitalized Friday after slamming her Porsche into the back of an 18-wheeler on the Pacific Coast Highway, according to TMZ.

The Porsche is totaled -- the passenger window was shattered and the bumper was fully off the car in a photograph on TMZ. As for Lohan, the website reports that she was not taken to the hospital by ambulance, but that she is at an L.A.-area emergency room being checked out. She's said to be fine, but taking precautions.

Lohan, who has a long history of car accidents, most recent was an altercation this March when she allegedly grazed a paparazzo while attempting a three-point-turn in the parking lot of a nightclub.
